What is PRF™? (Rather than PRP)
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Under Eye is a treatment involving your body’s own platelets and growth factors. There are key growth factors found in PRF that help reverse telltale signs of aging.
PRF treatment is an all-natural aesthetic solution that uses your own blood draw to treat specific areas of your face to improve under-eye hollows, dark circles, skin tone, thin skin, deflated cheeks and more. As this treatment uses your own body’s blood, stem cells found circulating in the bloodstream are used for eye filler treatment—meaning PRF treatments are completely natural!
How Does a PRF Under Eye™ Treatment Work?
The skin under the eyes is one of the thinnest skin on our body. It can be one of the first areas that show signs of aging. PRF is one of the ideal treatments that improves this area and can be a better option than heat-based skin tightening devices and dermal fillers.
PRF facial rejuvenation™ can also enhance the results of fillers under the eyes.
PRF Under eye™ is used to address many of the same issues as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), or Vampire Facial, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for a few hours. This means that PRF has longer-term benefits when introduced to a specific area. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The results are faster and more robust than PRP infusion.
By injecting PRF into an area on the face or scalp it “kick starts” the growth of new skin cells and collagen production.
It is important to maintain adequate hydration prior to treatment for optimal results and healthy skin.
How much does PRF Cost?
PRF therapy typically takes about 45 minutes per treatment with a minimum of 2 treatments. These treatments are spaced a few weeks apart. We recommend a series of 3 treatments approximately spaced 4-5 weeks apart for best results.
The price for one treatment is $599, and the best-recommended treatment is for three treatments at $1,500. Call now to schedule a consultation with Dr. Felling.
